There are problems relating to the synchronization and obsoleting of milestones that result in incorrect treatment of milestone names and milestone tracking information. Additionally, a file was omitted from Alert 32 that affects project instantiation.

Issue:

If one person is being assigned to multiple roles, the assigner has to view or print the Skills per Person Summary and the Training Topics per Role, taking care to print out each prospective role separately.

Then, the assigner has to consolidate the redundant skills in each of the roles. Most of the time this is not very challenging. However, just as a team is transitioning to processMax, the Senior Manager has this challenging assignment step, which is to assign someone as Project Manager. It is likely that the same person will be assigned as Project Manager, Supplier Agreements Manager, and, for Level 3, also as Product Integration Manager. We do not want a challenging step to occur during transition for the Senior Manager.

NOTE:

Installations of earlier processMax 8.x releases MUST be upgraded to Release 8.07 and apply Alert 32 and Alert 33 before applying this Alert.

Solution:

We have created a Training/Skills Wizard that can be accessed from the 'Role Assignment Form' on any portal. To use this wizard, you will need to update your processMax engine with 2 new files by logging on to our FTP server and downloading the Alert 35 Instructions and Alert35.zip file
